Retiring University of Toronto Chancellor Gets a Convocation Surprise

After 6 distinguished years, the Honourable David R. Peterson's term as Chancellor of the University of Toronto will come to an end on June 30, 2012.

Students from the Faculty of Music surprised him at his final Convocation ceremony with a flashmob tribute sung to the tune of "Swing Low, Sweet Chariot".

Chancellor Peterson has been a tireless volunteer, extraordinary ambassador, master of countless ceremonies, and a great champion for the University of Toronto and its 500,000 wonderful alumni around the world.

He will be missed by the students, faculty, staff and alumni of the University of Toronto.
